Colonic Hydrotherapy

Colonic irrigation and Colonic hydrotherapy are the same thing! However, the latter better describes what the treatment involves - it is a therapy with water and it hydrates!

It involves the safe, gentle infusion of water into the colon via the rectum using disposable kits for each treatment. No chemicals or drugs are involved and the entire therapy is both relaxing and effective. This is a process of detoxification which has amazing health benefits.

Each colon hydrotherapy session lasts up to 45 minutes and you should allow at least one hour per visit. I allow an hour and 10 minutes for a colonic (only) appointment, so you aren’t rushed. Initially, a course of 2-3 therapy sessions is recommended, to achieve the maximum deep cleansing benefits. This helps to eliminate faecal matter which may have been lodged in the colon.

During a typical colon hydrotherapy session, up to 6 litres of water will be transported into and out of the colon. Using a combination of abdominal massage, breathing instruction and relaxation techniques — your therapist is able to promote the elimination of toxic waste, which the body would not normally pass.
